Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the product service center ("we") collects, uses, stores, and protects the personal data you provide when registering, submitting warranty registrations, or contacting support. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection laws. Last updated: 6 July 2026.

Who we are (Data Controller)

YOUSHARES is the data controller responsible for your personal data. For any privacy request or question, contact us at Diabetes_Care@outlook.com.

Information we collect

We collect the email address you verify, and the name, phone number, country/region, order number, purchase platform and date, and optional instant-messaging or social media handles you choose to provide for warranty registration or support requests. Instant-messaging and social media handles are optional and used only to reach you about your request. We also process a short-lived verification code and basic technical data (such as IP address) to prevent abuse.

How we use your information

Your data is used to verify your identity, register and manage your extended warranty, respond to support requests, and provide after-sales service. We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

Legal basis for processing (GDPR Art. 6)

We rely on: (a) performance of a contract — to register and service your warranty and handle support requests; (b) your consent — for optional marketing emails and for providing optional contact details, which you may withdraw at any time; (c) our legitimate interests — to secure the service and prevent fraud/abuse; and (d) legal obligation — to meet accounting and legal record-keeping duties.

International data transfers

Our systems are hosted on servers located in the United States (AWS), and verification emails may be processed via email providers in Singapore or China. This means your personal data may be transferred to and stored in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA) that may not provide the same level of data protection. Where we transfer EEA personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). You may contact us for more information about these safeguards.

Data retention

We retain warranty and support records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal or accounting obligations (typically the warranty period plus statutory limitation periods), after which they are deleted or anonymised. Verification codes are short-lived and expire automatically within minutes.

Your rights (GDPR Art. 15–22)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase ("right to be forgotten"), and port your personal data; to restrict or object to processing; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact Diabetes_Care@outlook.com. We respond within one month.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use only strictly necessary cookies/local storage to keep you signed in and operate the service. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Data security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, hashed passwords and hashed verification codes, access controls, and rate limiting. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard your data.

Your choices

You may skip registration and browse product information without an account. Marketing emails are optional and you can unsubscribe at any time. You can contact support to access, correct, or delete your personal data.

Complaints and contact

For any privacy question or request, contact Diabetes_Care@outlook.com. If you are in the EEA and believe we have not handled your data lawfully, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
